All international artists, professional and amateur and all art mediums will be considered from photography, sculpture, fabric, mixed media, all paintings and drawings including, oil, acrylic, pastels, ink, graphite, etc.

Those accepted artists will be asked to be a part of a collective show on April 20, 2012 in our Pasadena Art Gallery in Los Angeles county. The artists will be asked if they wish to submit their artwork for the show, which is not a requirement to being a part of this show.

Sanchez Art Center announces its first juried show of the new year, the 2012 Left Coast Annual (formerly Arts on Fire). Open to all California artists age 18 and older. All fine arts visual media will be considered. Artwork shown in prior juried exhibitions at Sanchez Art Center is not eligible.

ENTRY FEE
There is no limit on the number of artworks an artist may enter. The nonrefundable fee for each artwork entered is $15 (i.e., the fee is $30 for 2 artworks, $45 for 3, etc.). Make checks payable to Sanchez Art Center. Visa and Mastercard are accepted.

SALES
Sales are encouraged. SAC retains a 30% commission on any works sold. Artists should include the 30% commission in the sales price. Sales tax will be administered by SAC.

RETURNS

Houston Center for Contemporary Craft announces its call for entry for CraftTexas 2012, the seventh in a series of juried exhibitions showcasing the best in Texas-made contemporary craft. The exhibition is open to artists currently residing in Texas who work in clay, fiber, glass, metal, wood and found/recycled materials.

This unique show provides Texas artists the opportunity to be considered for inclusion in major national museum and private collections. The exhibition also serves as a starting place for the general public to appreciate the depth and breadth of art being made in our own communities and across the state.

 Learn the art of Mosaic with a focus on Pique Assiette, a style using Broken China, Tile and found objects. This fun and interactive class will spark you creative fire. All skill levels are welcome; individual attention will be given to each student. Supplies and tools are provided for class use, a $25 materials fee is payable to instructor at first class. Classes are held in the City of Brea Art Gallery in the Brea Civic and Cultural Center.

Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery is pleased to announce that its January 2011 art exhibition is now posted on their website and is ready to view online. The theme and the basis for this month’s art exhibition was “SeaScapes” where participating artists provided their interpretation of this theme by depicting coastal living, ocean activities, seaside vistas and any related seashore subjects.

An art competition was held in December 2011 which determined and judged the art for this exhibition. The gallery received submissions from 15 different countries from around the world and they also received entries from 27 different states. Overall, there were 500 entries that were judged for this art competition.

Panopticon Gallery is proud to present Processes and Dreams, a group exhibition that blends together photographs that are ethereal in nature. The images are a culmination of their maker's imaginations, collective, childhood and universal memories, metaphors, artifacts, rituals and personal experiences. Look closely because people and things are not always as they seem.

This exhibition will be on display from January 12 - February 28, 2012 and will feature photographs by Jennifer Hudson, Ken Rosenthal, Michael Donnor, Tami Bone, Bryan David Griffith, Rachel Phillips, Curtis Werhfritz and Emmanuelle Germain.
