Artists are encouraged to submit work in any media that explores ideas of opposites, dichotomies and juxtaposition.

Art of Architecture is an all media juried exhibition that will showcase the design and construction of buildings and structures, highlighting mass, space, form, volume, texture, structure, light, shadow, and materials.  Landscape architecture and urban design will also be featured.

Twelve-image portfolios by 15 photographers will be chosen to display their work in The Center for Fine Art Photography’s second online and print portfolio show.

Their work will be included in the Center’s second book publication of Artists’ ShowCase Portfolio. Additionally, their portfolios will be featured on the Center’s web site (www.c4fap.org) from February 1 – February 28, 2009 and will remain online for the next two years.

The Center is pleased to provide artists with an economical method to have their work reviewed by an international juror, published and exhibited without printing, framing or shipping costs.

Theme: Open - There is no theme for this exhibition. Each photographer’s group of images will be evaluated as a cohesive body of work, rather than individual images.

The Ciao Gallery in Jackson, Wyoming announces a call to artists for the "Holiday Miniature & Fine Artisan Crafts Show at Ciao Gallery", to be held December 20th, 2008– January 9th, 2009.
Calendar:
Submissions must be received on or before December 5, 2008 (December 3th for
postmarked submissions).
All those who have entered will receive a reply on December 9th, 2008.
All chosen artists work must be delivered by December 19th, 2008.
All chosen artists will feature their work at a special “Holiday Miniature & Fine
Artisan Crafts Exhibition” December 20th 2008, which will continue to be
displayed, front exhibition space of CIAO Gallery, until January 9th, 2009. The
reception will be publicized and open to the public.
Unsold art is to be picked up January 9th, 2009 (or will be shipped to you).

 The City of Oakland, California is now accepting works for possible screening on the “Great Wall of Oakland.” This 100 by 100-foot outdoor wall overlooks the busy intersection of Grand Avenue and Broadway in the bustling center of Oakland’s Uptown District, surrounded by restaurants, condominiums and galleries.
