Starting on May 22nd, the Riverwalk Arts & Jazz summer series begins its second season! Every fourth Saturday a variety of arts forms will be showcased along the Riverwalk in Downtown Milford from 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Come, relax & enjoy!

Different art and entertainment every month. The music line up on May 22nd begins from 1:00 - 3:30 p.m., with the stylings of Shawn Qaissaunee and Sharon Sable as they work their magic with a bossa nova feel. Check them out at www.Esqmusic.com. Then, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. groove to the Havre de Grace, MD based blues band; "The Elliott James Band".

Sweetwater is proud to present its 14th Annual MAVUNO Festival of African American Art & Culture. MAVUNO, translated as "first fruit" in Swahili, will begin at the start of the Fall/Harvest season. From early-September through mid-October, the MAVUNO Festival features a wide range of performances, workshops, visual art exhibitions, and much more in celebration of the African American voice and vision of the region.


The MAVUNO Festival is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Multicultural Arts Initiative.
Community Partners include the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, Sewickley Academy, and Sto-Rox Elementary School.
Media Sponsors: WYEP 91.3 FM and DUQ 90.5 FM.
